Q. Tell us something about you – your philosophy, your lifestyle, your ethics, your hobbies etc
A. I am no stranger to cattle, beef processing and the ways of the land. I grew up on a cattle property at
Monto, Central QLD and my great grandfather built Queensland's first meatworks in Gladstone. I live life to the
full with each minute of my day tending to cattle (both stud and commercial beef), the property and my customers.
Hobbies include gardening and reading, both of which are a great luxury. My motto in life is to offer a superior
quality service through my business and above all to have fun and keep smiling while doing it.

Q. Do you work from home?
A. Yes
Q. What is it that your business does?
A. Boutique Meats offers a "Paddock to Plate" service delivering grain-fed yearling beef direct to
customers homes. All my beef is hormone and antibiotic free where the customer selects either a whole, half or
quarter pack cut to their specifications. I deliver the beef direct to their home making shopping easy and giving
an alternative to the high prices and low quality of supermarkets.
Q. What makes your business unique?
A. I do not have a lot of competition and offer an extremely personalised service. I work with the
customer closely from the time of ordering through to delivery. I follow up a week after delivery with every
customer to ensure that the quality is good and then have a pro-active callback program every 8 weeks to check on
their need for ordering. I offer a 100% money back guarantee or I will replace the beef if they are not happy. You
cannot get this service from a supermarket these days.
MARKETING Q. What is the most important Marketing/Networking tool/strategy
your business has had success with?
A. The smartest strategy that I implemented with my business was to offer Hormone and
Antibiotic-free meat. People are becoming more health concious these days and this is a big advantage to my
business. The very personalised service adds to this allowing me to talk closely with my customers keeping me
informed of the quality of my product and their satsifaction.
