‘Wealth Gods’
The ‘Wealth Gods’ (Peter Moore and Geoff Haw) welcomed guest by handing out the traditional red envelope with ‘money’ inside as a gift. Other members provided a variety gifts to all and they especially appreciated the Fortune Cookies with cute sayings based around dogs, provided by Jodi Hasler of Pet Perfection

Guest Speaker
Attendees were delighted to hear what our key speaker (and winner of the MCEI Micro Business award) Kim Hesse from Venues2Events, had to say.

Her information was relevant and extremely helpful for those thinking of participating in trade fairs. Two of the strategies that Kim used when exhibiting certainly gave her a unique position in the market place.

 

1. For the actual look of the stand she decided not to make the focus on Venues 2 Events but rather about what Venues 2 Events does; which is to promote her partners (Kim refers to her clients as partners as they are her partners in business). Our wall was made up of large 1m x 1m colour photo boards displaying images of her partners.

2. After the expo Kim and her associates called all potential leads and the comment they received time and time again, was that they were the only ones that had personally called by phone, rather than simply sending a generic email.

Kim then received her Membership Certificate for MCEI (see photo above)

Robyn O’Connell brought her husband, David Nugent as her guest.
Andy Rai of ‘Minutepress’ and Jarred Kelly of ‘Focus’ were guests of Barbara Gabogrecan

Special Door Prize

With so many gifts being received by everyone, it was an extra thrill for Anne Morton of Lifestyle Video Production to receive a Blue Tooth car kit which was donated by Hamish Jones of ‘Talking Power Solutions'.
