Q. Tell us something about you – your philosophy, your lifestyle, your ethics, your hobbies etc.
A. I am definitely an oddity in the world of networking – I would far rather be home with a good book than out
at a networking event. Other than reading I love good food and restaurants AND WINE… – Sunday brunches and café
lunches.. all with a NZ Sav Blanc in hand. I am a frustrated actress and LOVE live theatre. My bottom keeps getting
bigger with all those sit down hobbies. My sporting passions all revolve around horses. Oh Dear! Still sitting
down.
What drives me – making a difference! I am especially passionate about helping children anywhere in the world.
If I didn’t have to pay the mortgage I would be travelling and supporting kids charities.

Q. What is it that your business does?
A. We are a resource on all things networking for small business owners and entrepreneurs. We can help you find
the right networking groups and events to attend and show you how to make the most of your networking efforts when
you get there. We won’t teach you how to work a room or have a great 60 second informercial – cos I’m no good at
either. We will teach you what really works to make your networking WORK for you.

A. YES – there are now five on our team – all virtual

A. 4 years
Q. What makes your business unique?
A. We are Australia’s only comprehensive directory and calendar of networking groups and events. PLUS our
approach to networking is completely different – A number of our clients have told me “you completely reframed my
whole view on networking !”

Q. What is the most important Marketing/Networking tool/strategy your business has had success
with?
A. Obviously networking - using strategic alliances - WIN WIN strategies with other business owners.

A. We were the winner of the Australian Home Based Business of the Year in 2008

Q. What is the most helpful piece of advice you could give to other businesses?
A. Four top tips that I always include when I speak
1. Know your target market – no it is NOT everyone
2. Have a clear USP – you have to stand out from the crowd
3. Have a business plan that you refer to regularly – daily is good!
4. Network for strategic alliances not sales.
