Q. Tell us something about you – your philosophy, your lifestyle, your ethics, your hobbies etc
A. My philosophy is “keep it simple”! Born in the highlands of New Guinea, and growing up in Queensland - I’ve lived in a number of different places from Thursday Island, Darling Downs, Charters Towers, Townsville and the Gold Coast, settling now in Melbourne. Family and friends are top of the list in my life. Working full time whilst growing my business means time is precious.

I am very strong on openness, honesty, transparency and quality. Hiking, camping and the outdoors have long been favoured pastimes for me; however at the moment life is very business development focussed. Everything I do is about people and relationships.

Q. Do you work from home?
A. Yes. Home provides me with an office where all administrative work and communications are conducted from. Within the office is where the editing and post production of photography shoots also occurs. The home office is set up for client viewings and selection of the images as well.

Q. What is it that your business does?
A. Offer a friendly, professional and inspiring experience through capturing moments on film, in the lives of families. I create fresh and contemporary portrait images for use on websites and print media, in news articles or on product.

Q. What makes your business unique?
A. The fact that ‘Anthaea Jones’, the individual, brings life experiences to the fore each time I engage in conversation, form a new relationship (which we all do all of the time in everything we do) or click the shutter of the camera.

With a genuine interest and love of people from all facets of life and of all ages it is natural for me to want to document what I see, in relationship and life, on camera. To tell a photographic story and show the inner personality and essence of my customers and the relationships they share is my approach to each photographic session.

SUPPORT
Q. What would you like the Awards to do for your business?
A. The MCEI Awards nomination and application process has consolidated what I have been practicing and doing in my business over the years. My intention by entering into Awards is a business development commitment. It will also enable me to raise my profile among the MCEI Members, a group of well respected and successful business people who have paved their own business success ahead of me.

Through being associated with like‐minded and entrepreneurial people I see huge scope for me to build strategic alliances, in order to move forward and grow positively.

Q. What is it you can offer to MCEI members, beyond your normal product or service?
A. I will offer members of MCEI a voucher for a family/friends photographic session with my compliments (Value $200), if they commission me to do their profile portraits. Note: There are conditions – please contact me to discuss the offer.

Q. How do you envisage demonstrating your support and loyalty to the association of MCEI?
A. I will be supporting MCEI by regularly supporting MCEI events. I will also have a profile of MCEI on my website with a link back to the MCEI site. I can also offer to assist with administrative tasks and photograph important events.
