Q. Tell us something about you – your philosophy, your lifestyle, your ethics, your hobbies etc.
A. Anne is a naturalist at heart and is fascinated by nature, which she appreciates in the  natural world around her. She tends to be ‘green’ and recycles where possible. She also enjoys travel, camping, 4WDriving, photography, gardening and squash. John enjoys videography and editing, 4WDriving, camping, travel and playing the trombone.

BUSINESS DETAILS
Q. What is it that your business does?
A. We make videos to suit your lifestyle (and ours) – from weddings, to special events, birthdays, meetings, seminars, sporting events, dance and singing concerts, corporate presentations and promotions. Everything that you might like to record on video.

Q. Do you work from home? How many do you employ?
A. We work from home. There are 4 others who help us out with video and editing.

Q. How long have you been in business?
A. Lifestyle Video Productions was registered in 1996. It began as a second business and has grown with the advent of the digital age.

Q. What makes your business unique?
A. We produce our own videos of 4WD travel in Australia

MARKETING
Q. What is the most important Marketing/Networking tool/strategy your business has had success with?
A. Joining MCEI was an important step towards structuring our marketing. Our websites are an important tool. In 2005 and 2006 we had a stand at the National 4X4 and Fishing Show and this was really useful in promoting our DVDs to the public and particularly as we picked up a couple of good distributors for our DVDs.

AWARDS
Q. Has your business been nominated for, was a finalist in, or won any awards or other commendations?
A. Yes. In 2006 we won the Australian Video Producers Award in the Documentary 2 category for our outback travel DVD The Devil’s Playground. We were also finalist in the Corporate 5 category for a promotional DVD for TGS Fishing Charters on Flinders Island. In 2007 we were nominated and were a finalist in the MCEI Awards Micro Business category.

ADVICE
Q. What is the most helpful piece of advice you could give to other businesses?
A. Our advice would be to go with passion and persistence in your business – don’t give up and don’t look back.

A. We look to learn in an atmosphere of fun and fellowship, from excellent and knowledgeable speakers and presenters

A. We can offer support to members for all their video needs including coverage of presentations, promotions and for their websites

MILESTONES
In the past 12 months
- we have produced the 6th DVD in our Outback Travel Series 'The Lure of the Kimberley'
- become a finalist in the MCEI Awards
- introduced a shopping cart to our website
